Canadian company, Bridgit, launches cloud-based deficiency management software.
Waterloo, ON (January 27, 2014) — Waterloo based Bridgit has just announced the official launch of their cloud-based deficiency management software. This launch comes on the back of over one year of intensive research and development working with industry leading General Contractors such as PCL Constructors Canada Ltd. Previously only available to select GC’s, Bridgit is now widely available for a monthly license fee and can be used by multiple stakeholders across the construction industry.
Using Bridgit, General Contractors can quickly and easily communicate project deficiencies to subcontractors and track issues through to completion. The Bridgit mobile app, available for iOS & Android devices, allows users to take a photo of a deficiency, assign it to a subcontractor, add relevant information such as location and due date, and add notes. “This efficient tracking process saves time and money on construction projects through reduced downtime, more organized record keeping and less re-work as a result of better communication”, says Lauren Hasegawa, Bridgit Co-Founder and a Civil Structural Engineer.
“Bridgit has been a great addition to McKay-Cocker’s tool belt! The software is an efficient tracking tool that takes the burden off the project team by providing an app easy enough for even the least tech savvy to use (it takes two minutes to learn!)”, says Sandra Feenstra, Project Coordinator at McKay-Cocker Construction Ltd. McKay-Cocker participated in the Bridgit beta-test period and used the software to manage deficiencies on a manufacturing plant project in London, Ontario.
