Simplex has enhanced the 4010 TrueAlarm system for small to mid-sized applications. One addition is a companion product, the Simplex 4009 IDNet NAC (Notification Appliance Circuit) Extender. An addressable power supply with discrete status LEDs and built-in ground fault detection and isolation diagnostics, the Extender provides for intelligent communications with the host panel via an IDNet addressable channel.

A new Open Processor Driver from the Landis Division of Siemens Building Technologies provides a direct interface between the Apogee ALS3 fire alarm and life safety system and the other Apogee family of building automation systems. The Open Processor Driver allows monitoring of the fire alarm, HVAC and other systems from a single workstation and with the sharing of data allows an automatic response to fire alarm system changes.

CBC Radio-Canada has awarded Edwards Systems Technology a contract to upgrade fire alarm systems in 27 locations across Canada, including St. John’s, Vancouver and Whitehorse. Edwards is to be the prime contractor in a turn-key installation.

Notifier Fire Systems has introduced the NBG-12 Series fire alarm pull stations. The series consists of manual, cost-effective, non-coded pull stations for multiple applications.

Six new Remote Operator Control Panels are available from Grinnell Fire Protection Systems to work with their Autocall TFX family of fire protection and life safety products.

Grinnell has also introduced a new Model F892QR Designer Sprinkler as a quick response, standard coverage upright sprinker with an extra large 5/8″ orifice, as well as the 25.2 K-Factor Model ESFR-25 Early Suppression Fast Response Pendent Sprinkler (pictured).
