Office building expansion follows merger of Kitchener firms

MTE Consultants of southern Ontario is building a 30,000 square foot expansion to its Kitchener head office. The construction follows MTE’s acquisition last year of Frontline Environmental management.
A ground breaking ceremony was held on May 22 at the three-year old MTE building on Bingemans Centre Drive. It will be doubled from 27,000 square feet to 57,000 square feet.
MTE Consultants has served the Waterloo Region since 1985 and had 149 employees specializing in civil, environmental and structural engineering. It has a branch office in Burlington. Frontline had 35 staff at its former location on Riverbend Drive in Kitchener.
“Drawing together all our staff in one building allows our divisions to work together seamlessly and also apply their combined knowledge to the benefit of individual projects,” said MTE President Greg Marks.
