Measurement Canada has authorized Endress+Hauser’s entire lineup of Proline Promass Q and F Coriolis flow meters, up to and including 10-in. bore sizes, for use in custody transfer.

Endress+Hauser Canada, based in Burlington, Ont., introduced 6-, 8- and 10-in. bore sizes just over a year ago with the launch of its 4-tube Promass Q technology. Adding them to custody transfer flowmeters opens opportunities for the product line in the oil, gas, petrochemical, food and beverage industries, where they can measure gases and liquids other than water for mass, volume and density.

The 4-tube technology allows for up to 25% higher flow rates than 2-tube Coriolis flow meters with the same nominal pipe size, enabling faster handing of bulk commodity transfers and, thus, cost savings for turning around tank trucks, railway tank cars and ocean tankers in port.
