B.C. Government launches efficient building incentive program/competition, administered by Integral Group
The province’s new Better Buildings BC program is challenging designers, builders and developers with up to $390,000 in incentives to design cost-effective net-zero energy ready buildings.
The installation of the province’s first congestion preventing variable speed limit system has begun on Highway 1 and is expected to be operational in summer 2019.
Over half of the 10-year funding program in B.C. will be committed to public transit.
Engineering assessments have been ongoing and the ministry now has concluded that a bridge, capable of accommodating water flow levels similar to those last year, is the appropriate permanent solution at Commotion Creek.
The province is seeking highway funding from the Feds and the Township of Langley. Design work is expected to start in the fall of 2017.
