Opening of the False Creek saltwater Pumping Station, one of two large such stations recently built near Vancouver's crowded downtown core. They could play a major role fighting fires in a disaster. Designed by a team of specialists led by MTR Consultants, the station has flexible connections to withstand ground deformations.
