HYDRONICS

Armstrong Pumps has added the DAS Dirt and Air Separator designed for use in the start up and maintenance of hydronic systems. The company has also launched the new ARMflo E12-TE and E14-TE Circulators as compact, high efficiency pumps for high head, medium flow applications, useful in radiant in-floor heating and geothermal applications.

Schneider Electric has acquired Power Measurement, a company based in Victoria, B.C. that specializes in power monitoring and energy management systems, including metering devices. www.schneider-electric.ca

WATER

HGM boiler feed water pumps from KSB are heavy-duty pumps designed to be extremely compact. They have bearings directly lubricated by the liquid being pumped and mechanical seals that do not require external cooling water. The family requires no supply lines etc. and has seven hydraulic configurations offering flow rates from 10-274 m3/hr, heads up to 1,400 m and a maximum temperature of 160C. www.ksb.ca

Severn Trent Services has received a U.S. Patent for its Large Water Reservoir Management system (RMS). The system uses real-time samples, automatically detecting and feeding the level of chlorine or chloramines to maintain a consistent residual level in the water. Tel. 215-283-3478

WASTEWATER

Water Maze has introduced the CLB line of environmental equipment for treating waste streams using biotechnology. Based on the use of aerobic bacteria to control odour and degrade Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TBH), herbicides, insecticides and pesticides, the system was designed for the golf and turf markets but has proven successful in treating industrial wastewater as well.
