The Acriglo Photoluminescent Series of acrylic sheets for lighting systems is made by Acrilex. The material’s photoluminescent pigment (magnesium strontium silicate) lasts hours and provides illumination on par with moonlight to augment emergency lighting. With a heavy 23 gauge galvanized steel housing, the fixture incorporates seven pieces of fire-rated sheetrock as well as a fire-retardant blanket gasket which seals off gaps between the bottom of the frame and the topside of the ceiling material.
