ITT Flygt has a new Progressive Cavity Pump suitable for handling sludge, slurry and other viscous media. LIGHTING

TIR Systems working with Selkirk Signs and Services added colourful LED display lighting to outline the exterior of the Federated Co-op store in Rankin Inlet in the Arctic Circle. TIR’s LightMark and LightScript border tubes in green and red were used. The LED-based signage is able to withstand extremely cold weather conditions compared to neon and maintains a consistent brightness in cold conditions. Similar lighting is now being installed on the co-ops in Cambridge Bay, Victoria Island and Kugaaruk, Nunavut. www.tirsys.com

HVAC

The new high-efficiency steam water heater by Maxi-Therm of Montreal gives up to 20% energy savings in a pre-piped vertical heat exchanger package.
