Plans to hold a contest to compose a new “Theme of Canadian Engineers” had to be put off after people expressed concern that the winning song would replace Godiva’s Hymn and threaten tradition. Engineers Canada and the National Council of Deans of Engineering and Applied Science were hoping to hold the new song contest.
