A historical landmark in Victoria, B.C. has been rehabilitated by Stantec and won an award from Heritage B.C. The Crystal Garden was built in 1925 as a salt-water swimming pool but is now a banquet facility seating 1,000 people for the Victoria Conference Centre. The $6.8-million transformation included converting the deck and mezzanine and adding a separate three storey structure to the east to accommodate food services. The design of the addition echoes the historic glass enclosure.
