Wiremold Company has introduced the Vista series for open-space power and communications. The system brings overhead wires and cables down from the ceiling to workstations through two end channels that support a decorative centre panel. The company has also introduced TableSource Work Surface Modules that give access to power and data-communications on desktops, lecterns, etc.

POWER

A new Modular Power System (MPS) from Generac is a flexible alternative to large single engine generators in the 800-2400 kW output range. It combines two or more smaller diesel gensets in a parallel arrangement and may cost 20-30% less than a comparable single-engine unit.

SOFTWARE

Autodesk has four new special applications based on the AutoCAD 2002 foundation. The new applications are AutoCAD Architectural Desktop 3.3; AutoCAD Mechanical 6; Autodesk Mechanical Desktop 6, and Autodesk OnSite 2. This last is a mobile design and mapping application for use with a Microsoft Windows CE handheld and tablet computing device.
