LIGHTING

The ArcForm LED portfolio from Philips Ledalite features advanced LED engineering as an alternative to traditional fluorescent lighting for commercial, retail and educational spaces. It has brilliant colour rendering and efficacies up to 91.2 lm/W. The luminaire’s design, combined with MesoOptics technology, makes for a 3D symmetrical batwing distribution of light that controls high angle glare. Philips now also has LED versions of its recessed products such as Voice and Vectra. www.ledalite.com

ACOUSTICS

Silentium’s Quiet Bubble (QB) technology cancels ambient noise, creating “zones of quiet” round individuals in an office or other environment. The active noise control (ANC) technology produces an opposing signal (anti-noise) with the same amplitude but an opposite phase as the intrusive noise. It achieves up to 30 dB(A) of noise reduction, which the human ear registers as a 96% noise elimination. www. silentium.com

ELECTRICAL

GE has a new Grid iQ Network Communications Platform. The IP end-to-end industrial grade platform supports AMI, SCADA and other applications and is designed for rugged environments. It meets the need for a single network that can support multiple grid applications. www.ge.com

LIGHTING

SOLAR

Eaton Corporation’s S-Max Series 250 kW grid-tied solar inverter is manufactured in Milton, Ontario, complying with the Ontario Power Authority FIT requirements for domestic content. The S-Max Series is designed for large-scale rooftop solar installations. Its active front end (AFE) technology operates in harsh environments and has 24/7 operation cycles over decades. Includes embedded intelligence for automated commissioning, operation and shutdown. www.eatoncanada.ca

The SunSource Commercial Energy System by Lennox is the first commercial HVAC system that integrates directly with solar power. It integrates with the Energence rooftop unit and can accommodate up to 21 solar panels.
