Red Lion’s data management tools now provide BACnet support for connectivity in building automation and controls. The G3 Series HMIs, Modular Controller and Data Station Plus support BACnet.

LED*Waves of New York has expanded its LED-Logia line of low-energy light bulbs rated to last 80,000 hours. The line uses Cree XRE chips to replace commercial CFLs or household incandescents.

SkyWave has satellite and network services to monitor and control remote fixed assets and SCADA applications. The SkyWave DMR-200 and DMR-800 series D+/IsatM2M terminals and SureLinx 8100 integrated satellite/GPRS terminals give coverage throughout the world. For hazardous applications, the compact SkyWave DMR-200D C1D2 terminal is resistant to chemicals. Applications are in the oil and gas, water, electric and environmental fields. For example, the technology can be used to monitor the cathodic protection of oil and gas pipelines for parameters such as temperature and pressure, or for monitoring valves, etc.


Bosch Security Systems has introduced the Connettix D6100i Communications Receiver/Gateway. The low-cost IP Communications tool is for monitoring small central stations, university campuses or gated communities. Also new from Bosch is the VIP X1600 XF, the first multi-channel encoder/decoder with high-speed fibre connectivity for video storage. Bosch also has the UPA Series Power Supplies for energy efficient operation of its products. A new Mini-Dome Surveillance IP Camera measuring 5.5 inches diameter is from Toshiba. The IK-WD01A camera has its own built-in web server, along with dual codec Motion-JPEG and MPEG4 (SP) compression, Power-over- Ethernet, 640 x 480 resolution and a streaming video rate of 30 frames per second.

Honeywell has updated its Digital Video Manager for its CCTV system. The DVM R300 features an enhanced multi-scene interface to make it easier to configure camera views.

Sony Electrics has added mega-pixel cameras to its IP-based line. The SNC-DM110 Mega Normal, SNC-CM120 CS Mega and SNC-DM160 Mega Rugged. Each of the 1.3 megapixel cameras has Sony ExwavePRO technology for increased light sensitivity.


The ASSA Concept 4 CLIQ building locking system from Assa Abloy combines electronics with cylinder keys. Electronic intelligence is built into both key and cyclinder. The CLIQ systems do not need hard wiring, an external power source, nor extra equipment of any kind.
