Much more than just a new title, the non-profit National Fire Protection Association’s (NFPA) first “World Fire Safety Congress and Exposition,” in Baltimore, MD, represents an unprecedented effort by NFPA to enhance the overall value of its annual spring conference. With a greatly expanded offering of educational programs and session “tracks,” the event provides more opportunities for attendees than ever before.
Six Sunday seminars will address a wide range of issues from performance-based design to emergency and disaster preparedness, to responding to terrorism. In addition, more than 55 codes and standards are scheduled for NFPA’s two Technical Committee Report Sessions.
NFPA’s trade exposition continues to attract an ever-growing number of companies to demonstrate state-of-the-art fire safety products and services. More than 250 companies representing 30 industries will hold exhibit booths.
As a member of the fire service for some 45 years, I have highly valued NFPA’s annual spring conferences and the long-lasting benefits they’ve provided my colleagues and me. Please join NFPA in Baltimore this May.
