A unique mix of GE technologies is being used at a new combined heat and power plant in Thailand. The ZeeWeed 1500 ultrafiltration membranes, reverse osmosis (RO) and electrodeionization (EDI) technologies will create demineralized water for the boiler feed and reduce the use of chemicals by 99% at the IRPC plant. www.ge.com

PUMPS

KSB is supplying large RDLO water transport pumps for the Fort Hills Energy oil sands in Alberta. The 12 pump sets will be used in the process water recycling system. The pumps have a double-volute design and will deliver flows between 4,250 and 61,250 cubic metres of water per hour, at heads up to 128 metres. Four will be rated for temperatures up to 95o C. www.ksb.ca
