The Ottawa Wood Solutions Conference—presented by Wood Works!, a Canadian Wood Council (CWC) program—combines education with an industry trade show for a design and construction professionals.

Sessions will highlight sustainability, Indigenous architecture, wind and earthquake resilient design, new code provisions for encapsulated mass timber construction (EMTC) and tall wood costing. Expert guest speakers will include structural design engineer and timber expert Fabia Baumann from Henning Larsen in Denmark, who will share insights into designing with wood and other bio-based materials; and Pierre Quenneville, professor of timber design at the University of Auckland and chief technology officer (CTO) at Tectonus, who will discuss seismic solutions for resilient wooden buildings.

Registration covers all sessions, lunch, a networking reception and a personalized continuing education certificate documenting professional learning hours completed.
