Sustainable Labs Canada – Sustainability and the Science of Well-Being

November 18 - November 20, 2019
Beanfield Centre, Toronto, ON

Inspired by Well-being – Focused on Sustainability. The 2019 SLCan Sustainable Labs Conference is a Canadian national forum focused on strengthening the sustainable laboratory community and sharing knowledge, promoting innovation and best practices, as well as providing a platform for strategic thinking and discussion on the challenges and opportunities related to these assets.

Since it’s inaugural year in 2014, the Sustainable Labs Canada Conference continues to grow.

The SLCAN conference is 2 1/2 days well spent with colleagues in your professional community. Featuring Keynote and Concurrent Sessions, a full Trade Show and a variety of tours in the host city, it’s a national event that showcases the latest innovations and best practices in Canadian laboratories. The 2019 SLCan Conference will be held at the Beanfield Centre in Toronto, one of Canada’s first LEED Silver Certified Conference Centres. The facility features 100% green power from renewable sources, and incorporates today’s most advanced technological innovations. We felt it to be a perfect backdrop to showcase the latest advances in sustainability and renewable technology.

This year’s conference theme is “Sustainability and the Science of WELL-BEING”.

Following on the success of last year’s conference, the 2019 conference will explore the experiences of the people inhabiting the spaces we design. In a continuation of the concept of the “Human Element” we pursued in Winnipeg, the 2019 conference will look at the laboratory, at sustainability and the experience of the occupants, but this time through the lenses of “WELL” and of “Well-being”.
