International Conference on Efficient Building Design

This conference is organized by ASHRAE, its Lebanese Chapter, the Munib and Angela Masri Institute of Energy and Natural Resources and the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA) at the American University of Beirut (AUB), which will host the event.

The objective of the conference is to present advanced research regarding efficiency and human well-being through the design of safe, healthy, thermally comfortable and resilient buildings with minimal energy costs. Sessions will discuss sustainable heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems for arid and semi-arid regions, as well as the decarbonization of buildings.

Parallel to the conference, a number of courses will be facilitated and offered on-site​ by the ASHRAE Learning Institute (ALI).
