ACEC-BC: What are the Clean Energy Opportunities in BC – Looking Forward?

The BC Clean Energy Association represents 160 members who develop and operate reliable, responsible and affordable clean and renewable energy projects in cooperation with BC Hydro. A dozen First Nations are also members of the private-sector industry association.

Attend this session to hear about the challenges and opportunities facing this growing sector of the resource and energy field with guest speaker Paul Kariya, Executive Director, Clean Energy BC.

Speaker Bio:

Kariya has worked in the public sector both federally and provincially. He was the CEO of the provincial crown corporation, Fisheries Renewal BC and Executive Director of the BC Treaty Commission. Prior to his role at Clean Energy BC, he was Executive Director of Pacific Salmon Foundation and Professor at Trinity Western University. Paul holds a BA (Hon) from UBC and a MA and PhD from Clark University in Massachusetts. Paul serves on several community boards and is a Trudeau Foundation Mentor and has represented Canada as a Commissioner on the Pacific Salmon Commission. He is the son of a fisherman.
