AANB Industry Forum

November 26 - November 27, 2019
Saint John, N.B.

The Canadian Construction Association’s (CCA’s) inaugural National Construction Day (Nov. 26) will be commemorated with a two-day industry forum in Saint John.

Members of the Architects’ Association of New Brunswick (AANB), Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – NB (ACEC-NB), Construction Association of New Brunswick (CANB) and New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure – Buildings Division (NBDTI) are gathering at the Saint John Trade and Convention Centre. They will be joined by Premier Blaine Higgs, government officials and public and private sector owners, along with other architects, engineers, construction industry professionals and suppliers.

Over the two days, more than 150 attendees will attend presentations, learning sessions, panel discussions and networking opportunities. Topics will include major projects, immigration and demographics, diversity and talent management, innovation, technology, climate change adaptation and community readiness, positive work environments, mental health and workplace sensitivity.

“We thought it was important to bring everyone together to discuss mutually important topics,” says Christy Cunningham, executive director of ACEC-NB. “It’s important that our members are at the forefront of these topics as they design, plan and construct projects that impact the social, economic and environmental quality of life of all New Brunswickers.”
