Staff changes at Leber Rubes and Associated Engineering

The well known fire and code consulting engineering firm Leber Rubes Inc. of Toronto made some senior management changes at the beginning of 2008. Fred Leber is now chief executive officer of the company, which is to be known as LRI. Jonathan Rubes, co-founder of the firm, has changed his role from president to principal consultant. He is devoting more time to training and mentoring junior staff, and providing services to clients. Eric Esselink has become the new president of LRI and Jon Winton has been promoted to vice president. Esselink and Winton are both 20-year veterans of the fire protection engineering industry.
At Associated Engineering, Dale Loewen is now vice president and general manager of the company’s Alberta operations. He is based in Calgary. Barry Vallance, also based in Calgary, is now engineering production manager, responsible for assessing engineering systems, project delivery and providing advice to clients in the water supply and treatment sector. Lianna Mah and Paul Default have become members of the company’s board of directors, and Lance Kubrac is vice-president of finance.
