SNC-Lavalin has won a contract to supply a distribution management system for controlling the electricity network of northern and central California.
The contract is with Pacific Gas & Electric Company. Montreal-based SNC-Lavalin will use its own GENe systems for the project, integrating them with Pacific’s existing SCADA system and outage management systems.
SNC-Lavalin will provide project management and maintenance services, as well as engineering, installation, commissioning and training. The project is under way and the systems are expected to be operational by early 2009.
