SNC-Lavalin of Montreal, Canada’s largest consulting engineering firm, has acquired a Texas engineering firm of 500 employees. The purchased firm, GDS Engineers was founded in Houston in the 1950s. It specializes in the refining, chemical and petrochemical industries and generates US $50 million in annual revenues.
SNC-Lavalin now employs 15,000 people around the world, in 100 countries.
