SNC-Lavalin awarded five-year services deal in Alberta

SNC-Kentz and Clearstream joint venture awarded five-year engineering/procurement services agreement for Fort Mac oil sands projects.

SNC Kentz ClearStreamSNC-Lavalin has announced that its subsidiary, Kentz Canada Ltd., through a joint venture (JV) with ClearStream Energy Services, was awarded a five-year agreement with a prominent integrated oil company to provide engineering and procurement services for maintenance and sustainment projects in the Athabasca Oil Sands region located in Fort McMurray, Alberta.

“We are pleased to build upon our long-term relationship with this international client,” said Martin Adler, president, Oil & Gas, SNC-Lavalin, in a company release. “The award expands our activities in the Fort McMurray region, and we will be working together to ensure we maximize the efficiency for our client of these important Canadian assets for energy production.”

ClearStream provides integrated solutions for construction, fabrication, operations and maintenance and has provided maintenance services to customers in the Fort McMurray region for over 25 years. The JV, Kentz-Clearstream Joint Venture (KCJV), strengthens both companies’ full spectrum offerings in the energy and industrial market. SNC-Kentz’s capabilities range from feasibility studies, process engineering and complete front-end engineering packages, to the execution of projects on an EPCM or EPC package basis. They also offer project financing and long-term concession agreements.
