Shayne Smith becomes CEO of Wardrop

Wardrop Engineering has appointed a new Chief Executive Office. Shayne Smith, P.Eng., based in Toronto, succeeds Ernie Card, P.Eng. in the position.
Smith joined Wardrop in 1988 upon graduating in mechanical engineering from the University of Waterloo and became a member of the company’s ownership group in 1994. He has been managing director of the company since 1998.
He joins the Canada-wide company’s team of managing directors: Brent Thompson, Doug Stewart, Hany Michael, Len Hoey and Greg Turchyn.
Founded in Winnipeg in 1955, Wardrop now has 11 Canadian offices, four international offices and 700 employees.
