Saskatchewan recognizes engineering excellence

Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan announced the winners in its annual awards on November 2.<br>

Consulting Engineers of Saskatchewan announced the winners in its annual awards on November 2.<br>
The Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Meritorious Achievement Award for an individual went to Jack Ritenburg, P.Eng., of Ritenburg & Associates of Regina. <br>
Saskatchewan Centennial Leadership Awards went to Rodger McDonald, P.Eng. and Leon Botham, P.Eng. <br>
Four awards of excellence were given for engineering projects. They were as follows:<br>
– Associated Engineering for the Highway No. 9 Improvements, Queen Street to Darlington Street, in Yorkton (technology innovation and infrastructure categories).<br>
– Clifton Associates for the Wascana Lake Urban Revitalization (environmental category). <br>
– Cochrane Engineering for the College Building Rehabilitation, University of Saskatchewan (building science and project partnering categories).<br>
– Pavement Scientific International for the Mechanistic Full Depth Road Recycling and Strengthening Systems (technology innovation category).<br>
Awards of merit went to UMA Engineering for the Saskatchewan Vehicle Inspection Station Location Strategy (technology innovation), and to Clifton Associates for the Waskana Lake Urban Revitalization (project partnering).<br>
The awards “Road Show” was on display at the Saskatoon Airport during November. <br>
