Marshall Macklin Monaghan (MMM) of Toronto has joined with the mechanical and electrical engineering consulting firm Rybka, Smith and Ginsler (RSG).
Founded in 1933, RSG has 120 employees in its Toronto office. It also has an office in Orlando, Florida, and also does building commissioning.
MMM is a full-service firm with approximately 500 employees. It is currently involved in project management and design for large projects such as Pearson International Airport Redevelopment and GO Transit’s rail expansion. The firm is also involved in IT and security services for institutional buildings and several large hospitals. These areas are where the merged firms hope to expand.
MMM President & CEO Bruce Bodden, P.Eng. said in a press release: “MMM and RSG have worked together in the past, have complementary corporate cultures and share a common vision for the future. With committed government funding for spending in the health care sector, we are strongly positioned for opportunities in the market.”
Another recent change at MMM was the recent substantial investment by Borealis Capital Corporation in the firm. With such investment the company will be better able to play a role in complex capital projects requiring alternative delivery methods, both in Canada and internationally.
