Principal of Horizon Engineering makes top 100 list

Karen Savage, P.Eng., principal of Horizon Engineering in B.C. was named in the Top 100 list of Canada’s Most Powerful Women. She won in the Professionals category.
The awards are given under the leadership of the Women’s Executive Network and are selected by an independent advisory board based on defined and measurable criteria. The Professionals category is new this year and joins five other categories: corporate executives, entrepreneurs, public sector leaders, and trailblazers.
Based in North Vancouver, Horizon Engineering is a small firm specializing in geotechnical and communications engineering services. Ms. Savage is one of two principals in the firm, which won a 2001 Consulting Engineers of B.C. award for its work in managing and stabilizing the Delta Landfill fire site.
