People changes at Associated Engineering and Halsall

Associated Engineering has appointed Rod Karius, P.Eng. as chief operating officer. He joined the company in 1975 after graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in civil engineering. His positions with the company include acting as vice president and general manager of the company’s Northern Alberta operations.

Ian Theaker has joined the sustainable design team at Halsall’s head office in Toronto. Theaker spent the last five years as the technical manager with the Canada Green Building Council in Vancouver as LEED technical manager, “wading through plans for 112 building projects from developers hoping to qualify for LEED certification.” Halsall is currently helping to develop green standards for developments in Regent Park in downtown Toronto, Waterfront Toronto, and the communities of Pickering and Caledon.
