New program to certify individuals using LonMark open systems

LonMark International, the developer of open, interoperable systems for HVAC and other building systems equipment, has launched a program to test and certify individuals who use its technology.
The program will target individuals that “install, integrate and maintain systems utilizing LonMark certified products.”
There will be various technical levels based on proficiency testing. Preparation will be available through standard courses offered by providers worldwide.
The certification program parameters and criteria are being developed and are expected to be completed this summer.
Products that conform to the LonMark interoperability system are eligible to carry the LonMark Logo. As well as applying to building systems, LonMark is used for industrial, transportation and utility automation equipment.
