McElhanney Consulting Services of Vancouver has acquired two engineering firms in B.C. One is Civic Engineering, a 23-year old firm, which provides civil, transportation, surveying and planning services. Based in Kamloops, its clients include First Nations, municipalities and land developers in the Kamloops, Thompson and north Okanagan region.<br>
The second company is J&B Engineering of Penticton. It provides civil and structural engineering services in the southern Okanagan region, and has been in business for 21 years.<br>
In an announcement, Chris Newcomb, president of McElhanney Consulting, said: “the geographic expansion and integration of staff will provide McElhanney with the continued diversification and corporate growth that the company has experienced in the last five years.”<br>
