AECOM Technology Corporation has acquired yet another Canadian company. AECOM announced on April 14 that it has bought Totten Sims Hubicki Associates (TSH), a firm of 425 employees based in Whitby, Ontario, east of Toronto.<br>
Totten Sims Hubicki provides services in environmental engineering, transportation planning, utility engineering building design and land planning. It was founded in 1962.<br>
Doug Allingham, TSH president, said: “Joining the AECOM team presents exciting opportunities for our employees and our clients.” Allingham will take on a role in the combined organization and will join AECOM’s leadership council.<br>
In the last few years, AECOM has acquired a number of large and mid-sized Canadian consulting firms, establishing a large presence in Canada. Following its merger with UMA in 2004, AECOM bought Cansult in 2006, KMK Consultants and Gartner Lee in 2007. So far in 2008 it has bought Tecsult and now Totten Sims Hubicki. AECOM is also negotiating a purchase of Earth Tech from Tyco.<br>
AECOM has its headquarters in Los Angeles and reports annual revenues of more than US $4.2 billion. Launched as a company in 1990, it has 35,000 employees in more than 60 countries. Its president and chief executive officer is John Dionisio.<br>
