MMM Group of Toronto has formed a new partnership in the U.S. with H.W. Lochner Engineering of North Carolina and together they have just announced their first success.

The partnership, known as Lochner MMM Group is being selected as the lead consultant for engineering and environmental services on the Currituck Bridge project in mid-county North Carolina. The bridge will be a seven-mile toll crossing over the Currituck Sound.

The project is estimated at $659 million and is being done as a public-private partnership by the Currituck Development Group in conjunction with the North Carolina Turnpike Authority.  Lochner-MMM is part of the Currituck Development Group which has a pre-development agreement with NCTA.

The Currituck Development Group is led by ACS Infrastructure Development and Dragados U.S. and has several other firms on the team, including Golder & Associates, Baird & Associates, ARUP, and Bermingham Foundation Solutions, a Toronto firm that has been in the bridge foundation and pilings business since 1898.
