Ingenium designs world’s biggest paint shop

The Ingenium Group, which incorporates Giffels Associates and Norr Limited, has been busy on a number of projects. The Toronto firm was selected by Bruce Power to provide the architectural design, engineering and construction management for a 400,000 sq. ft. Support Centre on the nuclear power station’s site near Tiverton, Ontario. The new facility will consolidate the plant’s operations by bringing 1,100 staff into one location on the site.
Ingenium has also designed a 1.5 million paint shop for the GM plant in Oshawa, Ontario that will be the largest in the world. It contains eight conveyor lanes over a 1,500-foot long two-level trestle.
The company also has an agreement to do project management on the largest of the four waterfront revitalization projects in Toronto. It is providing project management services on the $245 million Front Street Extension, minotring a multi-disciplinary team for one of the most complex infrastructure projects in the city.
