Ian Williams new chair of Consulting Engineers of Ontario

Ian Williams, P.Eng. of McCormick Rankin Corporation has been elected to a one-year term as chair of the board of directors for Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO).

In his address at the the organization’s annual general meeting in Kingston on June 9, 2006, Williams committed to ensuring that CEO provides opportunity and value to its members. “
He also stressed the need for member involvement in the governance of the association.

Williams has over 30 years of experience in consulting engineering. He graduated from London University in the U.K. in civil engineering and since coming to Canada has practised mainly in
in the transportation engineering field. At present he is chairman and chief executive officer of McCormick Rankin Corporation of Toronto.

Mr. Williams succeeds Ms. Anne Poschmann, P.Eng. of Golder Associates Ltd. as CEO Chair. Vice-Chair is Bob Fleeton of KMK Consultants.
