The GENIVAR Income Fund has bought DDH Environnement Ltée, a firm specializing in earth sciences and environmental engineering. DDH has 30 employees at its Montreal office. The company has been in existence since 1989.
Pierre Shoiry, Genivar’s President and CEO, said, “We are very pleased to welcome DDH Environnement into Genivar’s team…. We are now better positioned to support our clients and to move their projects forward in a context in which constantly changing environmental standards and permit regulations have become an integral part of the business process,” added Shoiry.
“DDH Environnement provides us with solid and complementary expertise, most notably in the areas of environmental management, as well as in characterization and rehabilitation of contaminated industrial sites,” said Shoiry.
Jean Halde, president of DDH said they were pleased to join with Genivar, especially because of the company’s environmental interest and because of “Genivar’s entrepreneurial business model, which focuses on flexibility and close client relations.”
DDH Environnement’s longstanding clients include Pratt & Whitney Canada, Canadian National Railway, CanTerm Canadian Terminals, Canadian Pacific Railway, PPG Canada, Hydro-Quebec, and the Canadian Coast Guard.
