Don’t miss out on grants and loans for green projects

The Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal fund has streamlined its application process for capital projects.

Deadlines to apply for the funding have been removed, so the municipality can apply whenever it best fits into the project cycle. The federation also promises to respond to applications within five months.

Green Municipal Fund loans and grants apply to capital projects, community plans, feasibility studies and field tests.

Energy efficiency projects, for example, can receive up to $4 million in loans, as well as other grants, and still be eligible for the ecoENERGY Retrofit incentive.
