
Defence Canada invests in improvements at two bases

Julian Fantino, Associate Minister of National Defence, announced a $25 million investment at CFB Kingston and the nearby Kingston Armoury in Ontario. The investment is partly to help build a new 4,000-sq.m Peace Support Training Centre.
Another announcement on June 1 was for a $2-million investment for upgrades to buildings dating from the 1960s and 1970s at Base Valcartier, 25 kilometres north of Quebec City.
The Department of National Defence was given $452 million for the repair and upgrade of Canadian Armed Forces facilities last November.
