The Ecolog Group is holding a review of provincial and federal environmental law on November 25 in Toronto. The “Year in Review 2004 Environment Conference” will be held at the Westin Prince Hotel. The law firm Gowlings Lafleur Henderson LLP and HazMat Management magazine are also sponsoring the event.
There are over 1,100 environmental acts, regulations, guidelines and codes in Canada related to environmental issues. The conference is a coast-to-coast comprehensive review of the rules and new precedents, intended for senior managers.
Sessions include “Managing and Redeveloping Contaminated Sites,” “Environmental Civil Liability for Corporations,” and “Public-Private Partnerships.” There will also be a Roundtable on Environmental Emergency Planning, and a Roundtable on Emissions Trading.
