Dessau of Quebec has acquired Naylor Engineering Associates, a company in Kitchener, Ontario. Naylor will become part of the LVM Group, a major subsidiary of Dessau with over 1,000 employees that specializes in geotechnical, engineering and construction testing. Naylor was founded in 1983 and has 60 employees.

 Enermodal Engineering of Kitchener, Ontario was included on ZweigWhite Hotfirm 2009 list for the first time. The annual list is compiled of 200 architecture, engineering and environmental companies in North America, based on their increase in revenue over three years. Three other Canadian companies are on the list: MTE, Trow Global, Group 2, and Golder Associates.

Trow Global raised $70,000 for SickKids Foundation and other charities in the 16th Annual charity golf tournament held in June.

CH2M HILL has raised more than $220,000 during the past year through online donations, personal checks, fundraising events and payroll deductions for Water for People. Water for People is providing clean water and sanitation in 10 developing countries around the world.
