An Atlantic region consulting engineering firm has changed its name. Marking its 30th anniversary in May, Wallace Macdonald & Lively of Bedford, Nova Scotia is now “Terrain Group.”
The firm began in 1973 as a two-person surveying company, and later added municipal and civil engineering and planning services. Earlier this year, the company added a team of management consultants. They specialize in economics, viability studies, business and financial planning. The company now has 40 employees and 25 at a partner firm in Moncton, New Brunswick. Their recent project roster includes schools and a number of Atlantic superstores.
Terrain is a member partner of Terratech Consultants, which is contracted by Maritimes and Northeast Pipeline to provide legal and construction survey services for the 560-kilometer natural gas pipeline that carries natural gas from the Sable Offshore Energy field to the New England States.
