Atomic Energy of Canada has said it will be difficult to complete its refurbishment of the Point Lepreau nuclear reactor in New Brunswick on its revised schedule.
The $1.4-billion project has been running into problems since it started in 2008. The reactor was originally scheduled to be generating again by October 2009, but a revised target delayed its commissioning to October 2010.
The latest delays concern remotely inserting 380 new calandria tubes into the reactor.
