The sculptures were built near the Design Exchange in the Toronto-Dominion Centre downtown. Canstruction is a fundraising event held across Canada which invites architecture and engineering firms to create sculptures and installations out of canned food. The food is then donated. In Toronto the event was organized by the Society for Design Administration Canada, Consulting Engineers of Ontario and the Design Exchange. The food goes to the Daily Food Bank.
