SgurrEnergy rebranding as Wood Group

The company has been part of the $5B Wood Group’s clean energy business since 2010.

Beginning in early May the renewable energy and grid integration consultancy SgurrEnergy will formally rebrand as Wood Group.

The company has been part of  the $5B Scottish-based Wood Group’s clean energy business since 2010, providing engineering and technical advisory services to renewable projects around the world. Among its worldwide offices, SgurrEnergy has locations in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

“We will continue to leverage Wood Group’s global network of offices and technical resource to enhance delivery of integrated services for renewable energy developers, lenders, investors and operators,” said Jan Dell, vice president of clean energy, water & climate at Wood Group, in a company release.

SgurrEnergy recently named Claus Hjoerringgaard as its new director of clean energy, and the business will be moving its headquarters to St Vincent Plaza in Glasgow, Scotland.

“Although our name may be changing, our philosophy remains the same – creating value for our clients by successfully harnessing the expertise of our highly skilled, multidisciplinary engineering team in the design, delivery and operation of sustainable energy solutions worldwide,” said Hjoerringgaard in the release.
