AMEC Earth & Environmental has a new President. Dr. Hisham Mahmoud replaces Roger Jinks, who is retiring from the company, having served as president since 2000.
Dr. Mahmoud will be based in Atlanta, Georgia. He was born in Doha, Qatar, and joins AMEC from URS Corporation. He has a degree in civil engineering from the University of Qatar and a Master’s and Ph.D. in civil engineering from Arizona State University.
Gary Lawrence has joined AECOM Technology as vice president and chief sustainability officer. He joins AECOM from Arup.
Brian Pearse is the new chief executive officer at Stewart Weir, a consulting engineering firm based in Alberta.
Associated Engineering of Burnaby, B.C.  has made some appointments: Helder Afonso is general manager of the Alberta-North operation; Bob Milburn is area manager, Northwest Territories, based in the company’s new Yellowknife office; Steven Bartsch returned to the company as northern infrastructure project manager, based in Whitehorse; and Tom Robinson became practice leader of wastewater treatment at the Burnaby office.
Chris MacEachern has been appointed to the role of direct, strategic business execution for Tetra Tech. He is based in the Toronto area.
