Arup has added several key people to its Toronto practice, partly to work on projects such as the 2015 Pan Am Games stadia and velodrome, and the Champlain Bridge in Montreal. Richard Terry, a principal of Arup from the London, U.K. office is the new leader of the Toronto office building engineering practice; he has worked on the refurbishment of London’s Embankment Place and the development of Zurich’s airport. Darryl Doucet is now business leader of the building engineering practice, while Catherine Belanger and Hassan Ally are new associate principals.

Morrison Hershfield, based in Toronto, has appointed Catherine Karakatsanis as chief operating officer. She will be responsible for operations in Canada and internationally. Ms. Karakatsanis joined Morrison Hershfield in 1989 and has been on the board for seven years. She has also recently been awarded the Ontario Professional Engineers’ Medal for Management.

DIALOG has appointed three new Associates: Gabriel Wong, Christopher Lenzin, and Trevor Cleall.

Read Jones Christoffersen (RJC) has appointed Brent Lodge of its Toronto office, Bryan Colvin of Calgary, and Daryl Prefontaine of Edmonton to the role of principal. Also, Chris Davis of Calgary is now an associate.
