OSPE awards Late Victor Milligan of Golder and Peter Sorensen of EMS

The late Victor Milligan, P.Eng., co-founder of Golder Associates, has been selected to win a Gold Medal from the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE) and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).  The awards are to be handed out at a gala event at the Toronto Congress Centre on November 21.

Victor Milligan was an expert in dam construction and became president and then chair of Golder Associates. After he retired in1994, he continued as a consultant and serving on international panels and boards. Mr. Milligan was also a world-class athlete.

Peter B. Sorensen, P.Eng., president of EMS-TECH is to be given an Engineering Medal in the Entrepreneurship Category from OSPE/PEO. Sorensen co-founded EMS Associates 20 years ago and has grown the firm into a multi-disciplinary, “world leader” company specializing in bulk material handling systems.
