Gary Tencha, P.Eng. has joined CIMA+. With 35 years of experience in consulting engineering in Canada, Tencha is CIMA+’s Senior Expert Advisor in Transportation and P3 projects and will be based in Surrey, B.C.. CIMA+ employs over 2,200 people in 37 Canadian and international offices, and has an especially large presence in Quebec.

Steven Hunt, current President and Managing Director of Buckland & Taylor of Vancouver, is also becoming President of COWI North America. Buckland and Taylor has been affiliated with COWI, a company based in Copenhagen, Denmark, since 1998. Hunt will lead COWI’s bridge, tunnel and marine practices. COWI North America consists of three existing engineering companies: besides Buckland & Taylor, they include Ocean and Coast Consultants and Ben G. Gerwick Inc. Globally, COWI employs over 1,000 bridge tunnel and marine specialist staff.

Buckland & Taylor has made several other appointments as part of a reorganization: Don Bergman is now Senior Project Director/Vice President Major Projects; Darryl Matson is Senior Project Director/Vice President Operations.;Peter Diett is Chief Financial Officer/Vice President Finance & Administration; Jeannine Martin is Vice President, Business Development & Marketing; Hisham Ibrahim is Vice President/Technical Director; Nedim Alca is Vice President/Project Director; Rodger Welch, P.Eng. is Vice President BC Operations; Scott Roux is Vice President, US Operations, and Dale Serink is Vice President, Alberta Operations.
