MGAC establishes a Toronto office

U.S.-based multi-faceted project management firm looks to build upon success in Canada.

MGAC, a North American construction project management firm, has announced the opening of an office in the Toronto area.
The move builds on the firm’s existing relationships across Canada, and accommodates the country’s growing marketplace, particularly in transportation.
MGAC has worked across Canada for over two decades on projects including Queen’s University’s Isabel Bader Centre for the Arts, as well as the design and construction of a $200M 12 MW data centre for a top five Canadian bank, construction of Canada’s largest photovoltaic array in Barrie (Ontario), Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Core Science Facility, Marriott Calgary, and the Toronto Pearson Airport Marriott.
“We have assembled a strong team who are thrilled to continue growing MGAC’s presence in Toronto’s thriving business sector,” says vice president Paul Stapley, who has over 16 years experience leading a global cost consultancy, six of those spent working with AECOM.
The Toronto team’s collective experience includes cost and risk management, project management, project controls, claims preparation and defence, scheduling, and managing distressed projects.
“We are especially proud to offer such unique expertise, merging our knowledge in P3, distressed projects, and project management,” adds Stapley, who will be leading the Canadian office.
The firm lists a variety of current Canadian clients including: City of Toronto, Memorial University of Newfoundland, Metrolinx, AECOM, and United Overseas Bank.
